CSRF: Forty-eight members of the Evesham Group of the Civil Service Retirement Fellowship attended their annual festive luncheon on December 11, at the Northwick Hotel, Waterside. Several old friends who had attended the 25th anniversary celebration in November, joined the party and received a warm welcome, including Mr Bill Lowe who had travelled from his home in Buckinghamshire to be with us once again. Following the lunch, Mrs Anne Innes, chair, made a presentation to Mrs Beryl Wood in appreciation of her sterling work for the group over many years. Mr Eric Marsh, branch chairman, then presented certificates of merit to those qualifying members who were unable to attend the bring and buy event in November, in recognition of their long and dedicated service. The free raffle, with many prizes presented by members of the committee, concluded the festivities, a happy time having been enjoyed by all. The group will next meet at the Library in Oat Street on Tuesday, January 8 for the New Year Social Morning when a good attendance is anticipated.
