A skittles evening was held on December 8.
There were eight entries for a competition of videos to poetry and music.
Alan Baker entered "Six-Three-Three" about sailing, and "Snow on Snow".
Keith and Jean Bennett entered "When A Child is Born" about their great-granddaughter, Vic Vernon produced "Rifts" to a Patience Strong poem, and "Chanson De Nuit" by George Johns, was night pictures.
Dorothy Every's "An English Country Garden", was shown to Kipling's "The Glory of the Garden", while John and Anita Ruffell's "My Heart's in the Highlands" showed mountains, lochs and deer.
Philip George entered "Aspects of Christmas".
The winner was Dorothy, with the Ruffells and Vic in joint second, with Philip third.
Films showing the demolishing of Naylor's factory chimney and the collection and disposal of household waste were shown.
Award-winning videos will be shown at the next meeting, in Franche Road Baptist Church Hall, at 7.45pm, on Tuesday, January 8.
