REDDITCH had it all to do after a dreadful start saw them two goals down after five minutes.
Hitman Chris Smith set United on their way after 60 seconds and Cooper piled on the misery four minutes later.
The hosts had their share of possession after recovering composure but with manager Rod Brown sticking to the 4-5-1 formation which worked so well against Bedworth, chances were limited.
Michael Campbell, a willing replacement for the suspended Paul Danks, worked hard and forced a good save from the visiting keeper in the second period but an own goal off Reds stopper Tommy Byrne decided added insult to injury in added on time.
The return of substitutes Nigel Niblett and Richard Field from injury were the biggest highlights for Redditch as they exited the Worcestershire Senior Cup.
