We have been warned by the police that many sheds and outbuildings have had break-ins and lawn mowers and gardening equipment have been taken. Please be aware that thieves are very active at this time of the year and ensure that your property is properly secure, and if possible mark equipment with your postcode, so at least it is identifiable.

The next whist drive will be held in the Village Hall on Wednesday, January 9, at 8pm. Thank you to all those folks who regularly attend our whist drives. Sadly it is a pastime of the older generation and few youngsters are interested. However it is a recreation which helps towards the funds of our Village Hall so thank you all, long may these events continue.

May I take this opportunity to thank all readers of Village Voice who regularly tell me they read Bushley's news, it is very much appreciated. To them and everyone Happy Christmas and best wishes to you all for the New Year.
