UPTON'S "hidden" companies will be invited to take part in a special event to help raise their profile.
Successful firms like Bio-Diagnostics and Midland Communications will be asked to show the public what they do at the Memorial Hall in March.
The idea was unveiled at Tuesday's town council meeting by Coun Simon Wilkinson.
"It's still in the air at the moment but firms will receive invitations soon," said Coun Wilkinson.
"They will probably bring along the types of demonstration models they usually take to trade fairs."
March 15 and 16 are likely dates and Hanley Castle High School and Upton CE Primary School have expressed an interest in sending pupils along.
