THE Three Counties Show, one of the biggest events in Malvern's calendar, has been given a new name.
The show, scheduled for June 14-16, 2002, will now be called the Three Counties Countryside Show.
Organisers, the Three Counties Agricultural Society (TCAS), say the name change is to stress that the event will continue to keep agriculture and the countryside at its heart.
They are waiting to hear whether the show will be allowed to feature livestock this year but a decision from DEFRA is not expected until the end of January.
Last year's show had to be cancelled, causing losses of more than £100,000, following the outbreak of foot and mouth.
