Every year, my family and I bring our caravan to Blackmore Camp at Hanley Swan. We come to relax in the glorious scenery of the Malverns. I first came to the area as a child. Now my husband, children and I find we can't do without our regular visits to your lovely part of the world.
One of the things I always do in Malvern is read the Gazette to find out what's on. The website has also been an excellent way to keep in touch with events when we're not there. I have noticed some issues being discussed in the Gazette recently and wondered if you might value a visitor's viewpoint.
We love the Malvern Theatres complex. We liked the modernisation programme, which we felt improved the complex, and we always enjoy coffee and a teacake in the restaurant. We think privatisation is not a good idea; there has been much change for the better there in recent years and now we like it just as it is.
We think the gas lamps in Malvern are wonderful. A change to electricity would leave the lamp standards the same, but the light would be of a quite different colour and quality. Call me nostalgic and impractical, but I feel progress is not always appropriate; some things should stay the same!
We look forward to our next visit to your very special town
