KIDDERMINSTER Harriers boss Jan Molby is expected to name an unchanged line-up for tomorrow's Nationwide League Division Three trip to bottom-placed Halifax Town despite last week's disappointing 2-1 defeat at Exeter (3pm).

Harriers produced some of their best football of the season at St James' Park, but paid the price for defensive blunders.

It ended a run of four victories on the trot, their best winning sequence since joining the Football League.

Aggborough assistant manager Gary Barnett said: "I think the players did well enough at Exeter to suggest it will be the same side.

"It was a good performance, there's no doubt about that and they have still got lots of confidence, so there's no reason to change that I wouldn't have thought.

"It's a case of trying to keep a consistent side together and hopefully suspensions and injuries will allow us to do that."

Experienced defender Ian Clarkson has been suffering from 'flu and a sore ankle this week but is expected to be fit to make the trip to The Shay.

Regular substitute goalkeeper Brendan Murphy continues to be ruled out with a shoulder injury and youth and reserve team teenager John Danby will continue as deputy to Stuart Brock.

Front-runner Tony Bird has now completed a three-match suspension, but he is unlikely to be in the squad tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Molby is warning his players to be on their guard against Halifax's in-form Paul Harsley.

The Dane's concern comes in the wake of Harsley's recent impressive goalscoring burst which has seen him find the net in The Shaymen's last three league games.

Molby said: "Steve Kerrigan, who was their top scorer last season, has always done particularly well for them, but I think the man in form at the moment is Harsley, who is their leading scorer from midfield.

"He seems to be scoring every time they play and he got the goal for the them again last Saturday when they lost 2-1 at home to Shrewsbury."

But Molby is confident his players will overcome what he expects will be a tough test tomorrow as they begin a testing festive programme of matches.

He said: "They (Halifax) are fighting for their lives already, so it is going to be difficult. They had a disappointing result last Saturday, so they will be fired up."
