ASA Charlton plays his last match before suspension in Stourport Swifts Dr Martens Western Division clash against Clevedon Town tomorrow (3pm) with a ringing endorsement from his manager.

Tim Langford believes Charlton, who has played in the Nationwide Conference with Telford, can go as far as he wants in the game and has been delighted with his form this season.

"If he continues to do as well as he has been there is no reason why he can't play at a higher level," said Langford.

"He's already played in the Conference and he's still in his early 20s and if he looks after himself both on and off the pitch he could go as far as he wants."

Sixth placed Swifts are four points behind fifth placed Clevedon with a game in hand and have a full strength to choose from including new striker Kerry Giddings.

But leading scorer Lee Booth could be on his way to Redditch United after a seven-day approach by former Swifts' boss Rod Brown which is up on Christmas Day.

"I would like to think Lee will be here on Boxing Day and I've told him we can make him a better player here where we have a good coach in John Powell," said Langford. "He's a natural goalscorer and I believe he's another one that could play at a higher level."
