THE accident at the junction of Otherton Lane and the A44, Bromyard Road, near Crown East (Thursday, December 13) was sadly not unexpected.
Despite the 40 mph speed limit in Crown East, 60 mph where the accident happened, motorists still exceed the limits.
The police say they cannot do anything about this speeding despite having, as reported in your pages, the latest laser equipment.
Vehicles still pull out of side roads in front of oncoming traffic. I was nearly run into this week by a car that failed to stop at the junction with Crown East Lane.
The A44 at Crown East is dangerous. Indeed, at a recent enquiry, a Government Inspector described our lane entrance on to the A44, as very dangerous. The police must enforce the speed limits.

Crown East, Worcester.
