COUNCILLOR Richard Bird of the Labour Group criticises the voting patterns of the Independent councillors, claiming an alliance with the Tory administration.
How will he reconcile the votes cast at full council on December 11 by him and his group, which along with the Tories, agreed with the present Government's continuing policy to sell off all the council housing stock?
Is this yet another identity crisis, or another political consortium?
The three true Labour councillors Roger Berry, Ray Turner and Richard Udall were commendable and voted along with the Independent councillors against the decision.
It is little comfort for Coun David Bannister wailing despair and making criticisms of the present Government, then following the Government Whip and voting to sell people's homes.
Come the local elections in May, the voters will be reminded of these and other actions taken by this political consortium.

Worcester.
