EVESHAM town councillors are backing an application from the landlord of the Railway Hotel to extend his public entertainment licence from 11pm-1am on Thursdays, Friday and Saturdays.
Bill Preston has already been given permission for lap-dancing at the High Street hotel, which has since proved successful.
This entertainment, however, would not be affected by the new application as it is restricted to an 11pm watershed.
Councillor Alan Booth, a licensee himself said: "There has never been a problem with late licences in the town."
Councillor John Stych said: "It would mean another lot of people would not be hitting the streets at the same time."
The application goes to the district council's environmental committee for determination.
