VANDALS set fire to the doorbell of a house in Droitwich.
The occupiers of the house became aware the doorbell was on fire because the wires had been damaged and the bell was constantly ringing.
They were then able to put the fire out.
The incident, at Homestead, happened at about 5.30pm on Tuesday, December 18.
"Arson in not only a dangerous and stupid game to play, but it can also end with fatal consequences," said PC Sara Gregory.
Fortunate
"In this particular incident it was fortunate that the fire did not spread elsewhere.
