Martley Spurs 2,
Norton Rgrs U-14 8
ASHLEY Knight banged in a hat-trick to warm Norton supporters on a bitterly cold day on a tricky surface.
Rangers dominated the first half but Martley stuck to their task after the break and the visiting side's primary concern was to ensure no injuries were sustained as they only travelled with a bare 11.
Knight's rare header opened the scoring after five minutes and a left-foot volley again courtesy of a cross from player of the match Scott Williams doubled the lead.
Williams then hit a third and then helped namesake Matthew score a fourth.
Tristan Buckley's efforts out wide were rewarded when he made it 5-0 and he doubled up to make it six at half-time.
Knight completed his treble after the restart when Scott Williams also pounced but Martley hit back with two of their own past stand-in keeper Matthew Williams, who had taken over from Alex Gretton who took on a midfield role.
