I WOULD like to ask Stephen Clee if his Conservative Party is so exceptionally good and this Labour Government so terribly poor why is it the electorate in the last two General Elections disagree with him.

I have sympathy with the Government at present. During this year they have had to deal with the considerable expense of foot-and-mouth disease and now the war on terrorism. Surely it is not difficult to see why they have not the necessary cash to deal adequately with health and education.

I would like to point out that I have never voted Labour in my life.

JOHN NORWOOD,

Kidderminster.
