A CHRISTMAS card design by a Wolverley schoolgirl will be printed in its thousands next year after it was judged the overall winner in a West Midlands competition.
Emily Dunn, 12, from Heathfield School, triumphed in the contest to create West Midland Co-op's corporate Christmas card for 2002.
Her entry, which beat 1,000 other rivals from 40 schools across the region, depicts a nativity scene and will now be reproduced 44,000 times and distributed by the Co-op to its members in the West Midlands and Shropshire.
"Emily was up against stiff competition but she's very talented," said Heathfield art teacher Richard John.
"The judges commented on the detail in her design and said that the card stood out immediately. She and her family are thrilled that it's going to print."
Her success netted Heathfield £100 and a £25 gift voucher for her.
Darren Connolly from St John's Middle School, Kidderminster, came third in the seven to 11-year-old group.
