HOME side Wyre Forest crowned the season with a win in the final gala of the year at Stourport.

They retained the Nat West Trophy gala which they had won in 1999 and was then cancelled due to floods the following year.

Forest fielded two teams in the all-relay event and the As were the eventual winners.

They won 21 races out of the 41 and were placed second in 16 with the 12-year-old boys all finishing first in their races.

The B team was incomplete and missed 10 out of the 41 races with no swims for the 10-year-old girls and 16-year-old boys.

They finished in fourth place with one win and one second place.

The 12-year-old boys had to swim up into the 14-year group, while individuals were swimming up to 10 races.

Final points: Wyre Forest A - 135.5, Bristol North - 133.5, Droitwich - 77 and Wyre Forest B - 47.
