STOURPORT Badgers gained a comfortable 3-0 victory over Lichfield with two goals for 12-year-old Ben Harris and one from James Powell.
The Badgers have won nine, drawn two and lost just one of their 12 matches in their inaugural season.
They have scored 23 goals and conceded 10, including eight clean sheets.
In their latest success, James Terry, 14, was impressive with 13-year-old Mark Edwards as both caused problems for the Lichfield defence.
The introduction of badgers hockey, the Worcestershire County Hockey Association idea where four adults and seven children aged 15 and under make up the team, has been an outstanding success.
Stourport Badgers have rarely fielded more than two adults, preferring to give as many of their 14 junior squad players, aged from 11 to 15, the opportunity to develop their talents.
Fixtures, Saturday: Stourport v Old Halesonians, 2nds and 4ths home, 3rds and 5ths away.
