I HAVE been reading a copy of your Wyre Forest Memory Lane book and it is great. I love it.
My name is Jenny Roehead (nee Wakeman) and I have lived in Melbourne for 30 years, but I was born in Stourport and still have a son and his family there and brothers.
My mother was a Cotterell and the family were boatbuilders and had the landing stage on the River Severn with rowing boats.
I was back in Stourport in June and had a wonderful time with family and friends.
I log onto the Shuttle/Times & News website every day and catch up with Stourport news and the world news. I find it very interesting. In Australia we are not kept up to date with news as much as in England.
We had friends coming out to Australia for Christmas - Doreen and Tony Hurdiss of Stourport - so I had seen all about Wyre Forest Memory Lane on the Shuttle/Times & News website so I asked them to bring it out for me.
It is so good because we can recognise so much, and we have all been down memory lane together as a result.
I have also been sent a copy of Images of England on Stourport and it was so interesting because it included photos of my grandmother as a young woman, my Auntie Minnie who I never knew and my Uncle Reg who die last Christmas
