WEST MIDLAND BIRD CLUB - A new branch has been formed in Kidderminster under the leadership of Tony Kettle. The club already has flourishing branches in Birmingham, Solihull, Stafford and Tamworth.
A full programme of indoor and field meetings during 2002 include illustrated talks by leading wildlife photographers such as Mike Wilkes and Barrie Taylor. There will be outings to The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust at Slimbridge, and to Gigrin Farm, Rhayader to see the red kites.
The first indoor meeting, at Offmore Farm Community Centre, Gray Close, will be on Wednesday, January 23, when Edwin Blunt will talk about Birds in a Kinver Garden.
Anyone who would like a copy of next year's programme and a information leaflet should contact Tony at 7 Prior Close, Kidderminster, DY10 4TP, enclosing a stamped, addressed envelope, or write to PO Box 1, Studley, Warwickshire B80 7JR.
