COOKLEY WI - At the December meeting, after new president Jeanne Round had welcomed members and new secretary Ann Evanson read the minutes of the previous meeitng, details were given of the November skittles match which was won by Blakedown.
Travel arrangements were made for the friendly match and supper organised for last Tuesday at Kingsford Holiday Park, and names were taken for the January 14 buffet supper.
The 2002 programme was handed out and an ad hoc committee was elected for the Spring Fayre on March 9, when craft gifts and flowers suitable for Mothering Sunday will be available.
The competition for a seasonal table arrangement was won by Jean Johnson.
Members had attended the carol service in Kidderminster Town Hall and had hosted the Leys Group carol service in St Peter's Church.
Members then entertained with poems, excerpts from books and a mini-pantomime, then Gwen Palmer led carol-singing, accompanied by Marion Slade-Boulter on the piano.
