AFTER almost a decade, the headteacher of a Kidderminster first school is moving on amid tributes from colleagues, children and parents.
Spennells First School head Steve Gough has finished his last term before leaving for a Worcester first school in the New Year, but he is not going empty-handed after being showered with gifts and good wishes.
"It's been very touching and I feel humbled by it," he said.
Mr Gough, 46, added: "Spennells is a super school, and I know I'm biased but I would recommend it to anyone. The staff are so nice here and the children are in good hands. It will be a wrench to leave."
A temporary replacement at the 300-pupil school will start in January with a new permanent head starting after Easter.
