UPTON-upon-Severn's mayor, Roger Barker, has intervened in a row over car parking spaces in one of the town's streets.
Residents of Riverside Close have complained to the town council that their driveways and turning circle are blocked throughout the day by employees of nearby firms.
One resident, Patricia Pettman, said anti-social parking by employees in her road made it dangerous.
"You can't see when you're turning out of the road, and the bin lorry has to back up it," she said.
"It would make it impossible for an ambulance or fire engine to make it up here and sometimes they even park across people's driveways."
Coun Barker has already appr-oached companies whose employees may be contributing to the problem.
"I've visited one or two businesses in person to say people are parking in drives in Riverside Close," he said.
He added that the council had written to the companies in question, and that it was a matter of "coaxing them to help with car parking problems".
