STOURPORT Swifts boss Tim Langford will put the old adage that attack is the best form of defence to the test when his side visit second-placed Chippenham Town in the Dr Martens Western Division tomorrow (3pm).
Langford has no intention of sitting back and soaking up pressure in this top-of-the table clash and will lead the line with Kerry Giddings in a bid to close the gap on their opponents.
"It's going to be difficult looking at the number of goals they've conceded which is not many," he admitted.
"But our strength is going forward and I intend to do that down there. To go there and sit back and let them come on to us is asking for trouble.
"If we want to stay up at the top end of the table then we have to beat teams like Clevedon and Chippenham."
Langford, who is without suspended defender Asa Charlton tomorrow, has drawn up a list of possible replacements for leading scorer Lee Booth who has signed for Redditch United, but admits the striker's departure left a sour taste.
"I was disappointed in the way he conducted himself and he didn't even give us the opportunity to make him an offer," said Langford.
"But no one person is bigger than the club and I wish him all the best. He said he wanted a fresh challenge and I'm sure he's going to get one at Redditch."
