WELSH roots band The Bluehorses play Hereford's Courtyard Arts Centre on Tuesday, January 18 in support of their latest album.
The five-strong group play a fusion of traditional Celtic music with more contemporary rhythms.
Their latest tour, to plug their new CD Ten Leagues Beyond the Wild Worlds End, is the first to feature new guitarist Neil Browning, who also plays such diverse instruments as the lute, banjo, crumhorn and squeezeboxes.
Unusually, the band is fronted by two female electric fiddlers, Debs Peake and Liz Prendergast, who also plays the Celtic harp, Hammond organ and space-mandolin. The line-up is completed by band leader Nic Waulker on the drums and Rob Khoo on bass.
Their previous album, Dragons Milk and Coal, won album of the month from music magazine MOJO.
Doors at the Edgar Street venue open at 7.30pm. More details on 01432 395252.
