RANGERS entertained Mahal in the Express & Star West Midland League Division One (South) game seeking revenge for a 1-0 defeat inflicted on them back in September.
MALVERN RANGERS 4, MAHAL 2
The visitors opened the scoring after eight minutes when a long ball over the top saw Ross Sanders save Baljit Aujla's first attempt but he scored from the rebound.
Mahal enjoyed a lot of the possession but Rangers equalised after 22 minutes with a good move and goal. Chris Davis and Chris Allen combined well before Rob Perrins passed to Richard Forde on the edge of the box, he cut back inside on his favoured left foot to score.
Midway through the second half Rangers won a free kick which Marc Lines floated into the area, Stuart Harvey headed the ball on for Rob Perrins to rifle home to give Rangers the lead.
Seven minutes later a speculative right wing cross-cum-shot seemed to deceive Ross Sanders and ended up in the net for what appeared a deserved share of the points.
However, if nothing else Rangers are resilient and two goals in the final three minutes saw them take all three points, Richard Forde took a right wing corner to the far post, Marc Lines cut inside and forced a good save from Dhesi, both Simon Rea and Stuart Harvey had rebound shots blocked before Rob Perrins rammed home the final rebound.
It was soon 4-2, Stuart Harvey did well in the box before his shot was saved by Dhesi, Richard Forde then had his saved before Stuart Harvey got the final touch from close range to give Rangers a somewhat flattering victory.
Man of the match: Rob Perrins.
This week's Bonus Ball winner No. 8 - Mary Rea.
