I WAS dismayed to read that rats have been poisoned in Priory Park, Malvern. as I was not aware this was happening.
However, if the council had put into practice the free advice given in 1999 about the humane control of pigeons in Malvern, this may not have been necessary.
One proposal was to sweep up any rubbish/left over food in Priory Park each evening.
I offered to do this voluntarily, and still stand by this offer.
Instead of writing negative letters, perhaps Jon Burgess would like to join me in doing something positive to stop animal suffering.
PAULINE BURGESS, Malvern.
