Harriers were denied by a goal-line clearance on only three minutes when Mohan cleared Larkin's shot after keeper Musselwhite was caught off his line going for a Blake through-ball.
Harriers were starting off where they left off on Boxing Day with some nice, neat football.
Blake was keen to get forward from midfield and he shot wide from just inside the area a few minutes later.
However, Hull hit back and D Williams was dispossessed on eight minutes as the home side held onto the ball for too long.
Former West Brom midfielder Sneekes charged forward but shot well wide from 20 yards.
Musselwhite came to Hull's rescue on 12 minutes with a stunning diving save to deny Appleby's powerful 15-yard drive after a neat pass into the box from Bennett.
Larkin then hooked a difficult volley straight at the visitor's keeper when he ran onto a delightful lofted pass from Sall.
The young on-loan striker then rifled a 16th minute 30-yard effort into Musselwhite's hands.
There was concern for Harriers on 20 minutes when Sall hobbled off for treatment.
The big centre-back returned to the fray but lasted only a matter of seconds before coming off to be replaced by target man Broughton.
Broughton went up front and Williams slotted into the centre of defence.
Harriers took the lead on 25 minutes when Larkin put over a superb cross from the right and Danish striker Henriksen guided a perfect header into the corner of the net, his third goal in two games. Bo Henriksen
