A MAN and a woman were killed when their sports car ploughed into a barn wall.
The couple - neither of whom were wearing seatbelts - were travelling on the A4104 just outside Upton-upon-Severn when their red Mazda RX7 crashed into the wall.
Police named them today as Paul Kitsull, aged 31, and Cheryl Lewis, aged 22, both from Malvern.
Fire crews from Malvern and Upton, and an emergency tender from Worcester, attended the crash, at 10.10pm on Saturday.
The young woman had been thrown from the car and the male driver had to be cut from the wreckage by firefighters.
They were both were taken to Ronkswood Hospital by ambulance, where they were pronounced dead.
Sub Officer Chris George, of Malvern fire station, said neither of the victims were wearing seatbelts.
He said authorities believed the car was travelling in the direction of Welland, and thought it spun around so it was facing the opposite direction before it crashed into the barn.
"The damage to the car wasn't as bad as in some accidents, but the key thing was they weren't wearing seatbelts," he said.
"If the police and relatives use this accident to highlight the importance of seatbelts, we'll co-operate with them."
