EVESHAM United midfielder Andy Hodgetts has turned down a move to the Valley because he wants to play up front.

After bringing in Lee Booth to partner Paul Danks, Reds manager Rod Brown had earmarked the out-of-favour Hodgetts for a role as an attacking midfielder.

But the prolific scorer fancies his chances and looks set to link up with Sutton Coldfield Town where he will be in competition with former Reds player-manager Nicky Cross up front.

Brown has turned turned his attentions to another mystery target he hopes to have on board for the visit of Mangotsfield on Saturday.

The Worcestershire County FA are set to meet tonight to decide whether to throw Solihull Borough out of their Senior Cup competition.

Borough beat Redditch 3-0 in a quarter final replay but had Lee Saunders playing in the number five shirt despite Gary Knight being listed on the team sheet.

If Solihull are banned, Redditch face a semi final trip to Aggborough to play Third Division Kidderminster Harriers.
