A MAN out drinking with his girlfriend in a Bromsgrove pub has had plastic surgery to his face after being beaten up in a "vicious attack."
Police have now appealed for witnesses following the attack at 6.30pm on Sunday, December 16, outside Altered Images, in Worcester Road.
The victim had been drinking in the Turks Head with his girlfriend before the attack.
When they left the pub at around 6.30pm, he was approached by two men who punched him in the face several times before kicking him in the face while he was on the floor.
The motive for the attack is unknown at this stage, according to police, and the two men are believed to have run back towards the Turks Head pub.
PC Ian Cole said: "This was a very nasty and vicious attack which has left a man needing surgery to his face.
"We need to hear from people who were in the pub before the attack as something may have happened there prior to the attack.
"We also are keen to speak to anyone who saw the offenders run off and which direction they went in."
The victim was taken to Redditch's Alexandra Hospital and later transferred to Selly Oak hospital for surgery to his lip.
He also suffered a fractured jaw and cuts and bruises to his face.
The first offender are described as two white men, one wearing a waist length black leather jacket with floppy hair, the second is in his mid 20s with short cropped ginger hair and wearing jeans.
