WHY are people still so ignorant to wheelchair users? Assisting a disabled lady with her Christmas shopping last week, I was disgusted to still see people acting in such a rude and impatient manner.
Doors were left to close in our faces, bags and bodies hurriedly rammed into us, and people idly stood in the way watching us struggle around tight spaces.
Does all humanity go out the window when confronted with buying the perfect Christmas gift? Coming into Worcester has turned into a survival course - only the fittest will survive.
I would like to thank many of Worcester's youngsters, who restored my faith by assisting us with doors and politely moving for us to pass.
The younger generations get a lot of bad Press - but if their parents or elders could learn some of the manners that these youngsters have displayed, then I wouldn't have had to write this letter.
SALLY KEY, Worcester.
