DEAR EDITOR - I wish to comment on the report on the concerns expressed at the Lickey and Blackwell parish council on the subject of fly posting.
This problem is one which should be considered as having a big impact on our environment and should be the subject of action by Bromsgrove District Council and not left to parish councils and individuals.
It's worth noting that an activity being held in and on council property i.e. the market hall, attracts a lot of illegal fly posting.
One only has to look at the street furniture at major traffic lights locations to see the large quantities of left-over strings and fasteners to see the size of the problem.
Is it not time the district council took action instead of sitting around on the piles of posters advertising three piece furniture sales.
R W Brown,
Moorfield Drive,
Bromsgrove.
