TWO of the most popular Gilbert and Sullivan operettas will be performed as one at Malvern Theatres this month.
Worcester Gilbert and Sullivan Society presents HMS Pinafore and Trial By Jury at the Festival Theatre from Tuesday, January 22, until Saturday, January 26.
HMS Pinafore is quite short in duration and Trial By Jury consists of only one act lasting about 35 minutes, so the two are often performed together.
But this production, with Sue Coleman as producer and David Whitehouse as musical director, links the two together as one with the trial taking place aboard HMS Pinafore.
Audiences will be able to follow the fortunes of defendant and plaintiff Edwin and Angelina, from budding romance to breach of promise.
Performances start at 7.30pm and there is also a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
Tickets cost £5-£10 from the festival theatre box office on 01684 892277.
