REDDITCH MP and health minister Jacqui Smith has urged town parents to seek further advice as the controversial debate on the safety of the measles, mumps and rubella jab continues to rage.
The Government supports the need for the MMR vaccine despite some suggestions that children have developed autism and bowel disorders after being inoculated.
But Ms Smith said Government research had found no concrete evidence linking the jab with autism and wants parents in the town to look at all available information to find out more.
Mother-of-two Ms Smith said she understood parents were concerned about the jab but new government research into autism revealed no evidence linking the MMR jab and autism.
