BOXING Day postponements were quietly forgotten as Littleton and Pershore Town hit the goal trail in the Midland Combination last Saturday.
Top scorer Des Cox was a hat-trick hero in Littleton's Division Three triumph over Rugby Town Reserves.
Bobby Deacon started the scoring after three minutes but it took the hosts until just before the interval to break the Rugby shackles.
Three goals in six minutes wrapped up the points, starting with an own goal. Billy Hiden and Cox made it 4-0 at the break and the former then added a fifth after the restart.
Cox added two more in the final 15 minutes either side of Town's consolation in a match sponsored by Midfield Motors.
Pershore moved up to eighth in the Premier Division as Richard Congrave and substitute Jon Gregory both scored twice.
Handrahan Timbers made early pressure count when they took a 17th minute lead but Simon Brain levelled 12 minutes later.
The scorer then helped set up Congrave's brace for a half-time lead before three Town changes helped secure the points.
Gregory added to his 81st minute half-volley in stoppage time on an afternoon when debutant Jamie Gardiner further boosted Pershore's current impressive form.
Two goals in the final ten minutes earned Bishampton three Worcester League Premier Division points at the expense of New Inn Pershore.
Gary Hughes gave the visitors the lead and it didn't look like being United's day when the woodwork twice denied them.
However, Greg Mason finally levelled before picking out substitute Stuart Harris who drove in the winner from 12 yards.
The match was sponsored by F I Morris and Sons Ltd.
