CALLS are being made to crack down on speed in villages and towns across the county to help save lives.
The Worcestershire branch of the Council for the Protection of Rural England (CPRE) believes the answer is to install more fixed speed cameras, especially where there are busy roads running through villages.
CPRE Worcestershire's roads spokesman Peter Sturgeon said West Mercia Constabulary had for the past few years opted for speed traps instead of fixed cameras in boxes.
