THAMES Water has apologised after a double burst left Mickleton residents without water for more than 30 hours before Christmas.
The company had to send out tankers and trucks laden with bottled water to keep the village supplied while it tried to mend the bursts.
Press officer Cathy Little said a double burst was why the water was off for so long on December 22 and 23. "All we can do is apologise to the residents."
