THE December meeting was Christmas party night.
After dealing with business, six past members were welcomed as guests for the evening.
Flo Davis and her sister Alice Whittington were two of the guests, both aged over 90.
President Hilary led members into the entertainment, which started with the speaker introducing toys from the past.
An ardent collector at antiques fairs, he brought along a selection of games that were around more than half a century ago.
He demonstrated the skills required by some of these games and much fun was had by all.
The buffet table was inviting, in the form of an American supper. Into this scene came another visitor - Father Christmas - pulling a circular carriage out of which appeared a fairy (Shirley Giles).
The evening concluded with the singing of carols and Auld Lang Syne.
