THE last meeting of the year was the Christmas party and the room looked festive with decorations.
Business was kept to a minimum, but the carol service put on by Redditch group on Saturday had been much enjoyed, as had the Christmas lunch at Webbs Garden Centre.
Copies of the revised constitution were circulated. It is now in a much more acceptable form as a result of all the protest letters.
Members will start collecting for a shoebox to be sent to the Gambia in January and it will be for a teenage girl.
There was an interesting report on the half-yearly council meeting by Jackie Grier.
The branch had also received an appreciative letter from the county chairman on the second newsletter.
Entertainment was ably provided by some of the Bel Canto Singers with Christmas songs and carols, which members were encouraged to join in.
The next meeting will be on January 14 when the talk will be about haunted pubs.
It will be at 2pm at the Ecumenical Centre and all are welcome.
