A WOMAN pedestrian was killed in a bizarre tragedy at a petrol station in Redditch on Friday morning.
The victim, yet to be named, is believed to have been in her mid forties, and was struck by a Range Rover and crushed against the wall of the forecourt shop at Tesco in Coldfield Drive, Oakenshaw.
She was treated at the scene by paramedics and airlifted to Selly Oak Hospital, Birmingham, by the County Air Ambulance but died later that day.
The male driver of the Range Rover suffered shock.
A Tesco spokesman said: "There is a police investigation and we are helping in any way we can to find out what happened.
"The thoughts of Tesco and all the staff are with her family."
