SKATER Hockey is coming to Evesham on Saturday with the establishment of a club at the High School.
The sport has proved a huge success in Banbury and Evesham youngsters now have the chance to get their skates on and give it a go.
The game is similar to ice hockey staged over three 20-minute periods with teams consisting of 9-12 players.
Safety is a key factor and players initially are asked to wear a hockey/cycle helmet, elbow, shin and knee pads and, of course, skates.
There will be two sessions. Eight to 14-year-olds will be in action between 2 and 3pm with youngsters aged 14 and over on the pitch for the next 60 minutes.
