A NEW on-line initiative that matches investors with high-quality, independent financial advisers has been launched in Worcestershire.
Feebasedadvice, which has its headquarters at Hampton Lovett Business Park, Droitwich, has launched the internet-based service to put individuals with serious investment decisions to make in touch with established independent financial advisers (IFAs).
Co-founders Ash Patel and David Lawson together have more than 45 years' experience in the financial sector.
Clients who use the free website can locate their nearest adviser, who will offer them the choice of paying for advice on investments via fees, commission, or a mixture of both.
According to the company nine well-known Midlands IFA firms have already signed up to the newly-launched concept, which makes a nominal charge to advisers who qualify to join the group.
"All research points to the fact that while the Midlands has some of the wealthiest people in Britain, too few of them appear to know where to go to get good financial advice on their investments," said Mr Lawson, who is sales director for the company.
"Our aim is to restore confidence in the personal finance market and assure people that there are quality advisers out there."
The website - fba.co.uk - contains pages of free, independent advice on financial matters and how to select a reputable IFA, as well as details of locally-based IFAs who can provide quality advice to "high net worth individuals".
