MAMBLE'S kart racing ace Daniel Rowbottom was presented with the PF Cadet Champion Award at the end of a most successful season, and is now testing in bigger karts, in preparation for the 2002 championships which start in April.
Rowbottom became S1 National Cadet champion in October after an abandoned first round due to wet conditions, then two extremely high scoring events which put him in the lead.
After growing during the year, he was becoming too tall and heavy for his kart and had a bad round at Lincoln.
He managed to recover his form for the next two rounds, and took the championship at Buckmore, Kent.
In September Rowbottom drove for England, helping his team to an overall victory, including a win for the cadets.
