MOSTYN Rangers, who play in the Stourport and District Youth Football League, have become the first club in Worcestershire to be awarded a Football Association Charter Standard Club Award.
It is designed to reward quality football provision and a commitment to making the club safe for children to play at.
The award programme was launched in February, with the aim of setting standards of coaching, administration, development and child protection for clubs working with young people.
Mostyn now have junior football teams from under-8 to U-11, and U-13 to U-16.
Chairman Derrick Senior and secretary Chris Trickett received the award on behalf of the club, paying tribute to club volunteers, such as Kim Dixon, who organised the coaching course.
