THE county fire brigade has received a prestigious award for continuing to improve its public services.
The Charter Mark, announced by the Cabinet Office, follows the original accolade given to the brigade three years ago.
"The re-award of the charter mark is a fitting testimony to the commitment of all the personnel, whether they be frontline firefighters or support staff, who have continued to strive and provide a first-class service for the public," said David O'Dwyer, chief fire officer for Hereford and Worcester Fire Brigade.
The award will be officially presented to the brigade by Lord Macdonald, the Cabinet Office minister, on February 26 at a ceremony in London.
