HARRY Potter and his magic helped Cotswold Building Supplies in Broadway win a prestigious village award.
The annual window competition run by the Broadway Traders Association, aims to encourage shopkeepers to dress their windows during the Christmas holiday period.
The building supplies company won with an exciting display for children including Harry on his Nimbus 2000 broom, his trusty owl Hedwig, gold nuggets and the magic philosopher's stone.
Rosemary Rasey, who jointly owns the shop with husband Derek, said: "The staff helped to supply many of the items, and it was nice to hear the children talking about our display as they passed by the window."
Traders' association secretary Dottie Friedli said: "Feathers Gallery on The Green were runners up with the Christmas Shop coming third. Highly commended were the Orion Gallery and S & G Jelfs, the High Street newsagents. Every year the standard gets higher. Next year Mr and Mrs Rasey will be doing the judging."
