FILM SOCIETY: The next film, Bread and Roses, showing at Number 8 will be on Saturday at 7.30pm. This is a Cert (15) film and will run for 1 hr 50 mins. The first US set film from director Ken Loach, the film concentrates on the plight of a group of Latino immigrant cleaners during a "Justice for Janitors" strike. A powerful film.
NCCPG (WORCESTERSHIRE GROUP): Members had a cheerful and enlightening evening with Suzyn Andrews, the Kew Horticulturist and specialist in 'Holly'. The 2002 programme starts on January 8 with a short annual general meeting followed by Dr Murray Mylechreest talking about The Origins of Garden Plants. The propagation of plants in the Special Plants Unit at Pershore College has been progressing well and anyone interested in helping with this very important side of the NCCPG should telephone Linda Eggins on 01562 884171.
