A Worcester man pleaded guilty to possession of ecstasy with intent to supply the drug on the day he was facing trial by jury.
Mohammed Rashid, aged 27, of New Bank Street, Barbourne, was strip searched by police after officers found two packages dumped in a road on Friday, May 4, last year, Worcester Crown Court heard.
The defendant's barrister Nigel Stelling said one wrap of the drug had been for Rashid and the other was for a friend he was meeting at a club.
Mr Stelling said he believed the drug was amphetamine but analysis by a scientist proved it was ecstasy.
Rashid had already admitted possession of ecstasy before a magistrates' court.
Judge Andrew Geddes granted him bail while a pre-sentence report was prepared.
The judge ordered Rashid to surrender his passport and report to police twice a week.
