A HEARTBROKEN four-year-old whose beloved Springer Spaniel went missing a month ago is still anxiously waiting for her to come home.
Little Heidi Bullock's grandmother Theresa Logan said although the youngster did not fully understand Sophie's disappearance from her Worcester home at the beginning of December, she was clearly distraught.
"She's had her all her life and has taken it terribly," she said.
"She doesn't understand where she's gone and calls for her every day, expecting her to come home."
Mrs Logan said she feared someone had taken the black-and-white 10-year-old, who answers to "Soph", as she was a very loyal dog who loped alongside her running fanatic son most evenings.
She was last seen on Tuesday, December 4 in the back garden of her Randwick Drive, Warndon, home, which the family had moved into days earlier.
"It was full of 8ft high brambles and we think she got through a small gap in the fence which my son hadn't seen and secured," said Mrs Logan, of Portland Street, Diglis.
"The new house is only round the corner from the old one so she might have been trying to get back.
"I think someone then took her."
Mrs Logan said a £50 reward for the return of Sophie, which had so far proved fruitless, was still being offered.
